The CQV Engineer develops the documentation to support Commissioning, Qualifications, and Validation. He/She is responsible for protocol writing and execution, field verification, and development of summary reports at the client site. The role of a Senior CQV Engineer in CAI is to: ·       Independently develop documentation for the Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation of pharmaceutical facilities, utilities, and equipment. ·       Responsible for protocol writing and execution (field verification), and development of summary reports at client sites. Other responsibilities include planning / coordinating work and directing small teams in document development and / or execution. Position Requirements: ·       BS or MS in a relevant science or engineering field, or equivalent years of hands-on experience ·       5 – 12 years’ experience performing commissioning and / or qualification activities in an FDA regulated industry. Position Requirements:   This position provides direction of all electrical aspects of assigned commissioning projects from initial engagement through turn over to the client. The Electrical Lead will drive the development of the electrical test schedule, finalize electrical test procedures, review project submittals for consistency with the design intent, basis of design and the owner’s project requirements, and maintain overall responsibility for electrical test engineers on the project. The Electrical Lead is to drive the planning and execution of commissioning for the electrical infrastructure of the mission critical facility. They will be expected to execute against the project schedule through the coordination of contractors and/or vendors to complete the desired electrical system testing.   Requirements include:   Responsibilities:   Lead all aspects of safety for all electrical tests. That is how we have grown exponentially.   Description and Responsibilities of the Role:   As a High Voltage Commissioning Engineer/Agent you will be required to undertake the following responsibilities as a consultant engineer overseeing, witnessing and partaking in vendor commissioning activities on and off-site.   ·       Understand the design concept and intent by reviewing construction documentation, including drawings, specifications, vendor submittals and sequences of operations. ·       Provide recommendations and feedback regarding the design, equipment selection, pre-functional checklists, startup and functional test scripts, maintainability, and constructability enhancements. ·       Develop and review of MV/HV/EHV QA/QC pre-functional checklists, start-up and functional test scripts for switchgear (including but not limited to; site wide MV/HV/EHV infrastructure, Switchgear, Relays, DC Systems, Transformers and Earthing Systems.) ·       Review of IED protection settings and logic files of most IED manufacturers. ·       Travel to sites for site reviews and work with on-site commissioning engineers, as well as provide engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, and startup as needed. ·       Review documentation for compliance with client standards, industry standards, and design specifications. ·       Assess the capability of commissioned systems to match the design intent. ·       Verify the system’s performance, including establishing acceptance criteria, obtaining completed reports, performing verification and spot checking for validation. ·       Assist in as-built documentation and review for accuracy and completeness. ·       Undertake Factory Witness Testing on behalf of the client. ·       Communicate commissioning issues, questions and concerns through proper channels in a timely manner. ·       Develop project specific commissioning schedules and plans. ·       Conduct commissioning coordination meetings as needed with project management and commissioning representatives. ·       Track commissioning issues until resolved and closed. ·       Represent CAI at project specific commissioning coordination meetings. ·       Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for up to 60% of the time.   Qualifications:   ·       Minimum 5 years’ experience in commissioning of high voltage transmission, generation and/or distribution settings. ·       Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel and Outlook required; advanced knowledge of SharePoint (or similar) preferred. ·       Ability to read and understand construction documents (design drawings, control diagrams, specifications, etc.). ·       Ability to interpret COMTRADE files to assist with fault finding. ·       Ability to understand complex relay and PLC logic. ·       Advanced knowledge of MV/HV/EHV substation switching protocols. ·       Advanced knowledge of high voltage protection and control philosophies, schemes and how to accurately test each of them. ·       Advanced knowledge of substation monitoring, automation and control including IEC61850 protocol or equivalent. ·       Advanced knowledge of the workings of electro-mechanical and digital relays. ·       Detailed understanding of technical international standards and demonstrate experience in commissioning and delivery of large and small-scale substation projects. ·       Experienced in undertaking MV/HV/EHV testing both Primary and Secondary systems using test equipment such as Omicron CMC. ·       Advantage if worked within Data Centre environments/clients. ·       Degree qualified advantageous but not essential. On any given day we could be responsible for a myriad of things involved in starting a facility, equipment startup and test script writing and execution, SAT's, walk downs, FWT / FATs, burn in tests and development of summary reports at the client site. Lead Electrical Engineers will work as part of the CAI Data Centre / Building Commissioning team and be responsible for the commissioning of mission critical electrical equipment, safe electrical work practices, facility turnover, and issue resolution. Data Centre/ Building Commissioning professionals develop and execute the commissioning tests to demonstrate to the customer that vendor equipment is correctly installed and set to work, support enhanced design reviews, and consult on submission of LEED qualification packages.   Requirements include: Responsibilities:    ·        Development of electrical equipment and system test scripts ·        Attend and be an active participant of customer equipment FWT/FAT ·        Vendor coordination and management ·        Perform equipment inspection to ensure build adherence to vendor submittal ·        Provide test and documentation that equipment is delivered, installed, and tested correctly and set to function properly for customer ·        Support and perform design specification review, manufacturer submittals, one line drawing sets, and project schedule documentation ·        QA/QC of electrical equipment installationstartup ·        Assign test commissioning tasks to electrical commissioning team ·        Execute test scripts to confirm equipment and system operation to design specification ·        Ensure safe work practices are followed by all on commissioning team and customer site ·        Engage with customers to ensure positive experience, goals achievement, and schedule adherence ·        Provide daily reports for electrical commissioning team status ·        Conduct facility walk downs, turnover, and punch list reviews ·        General understanding of LEED specifications and requirements ·        Look for new opportunities for CAI to provide service and value to customer ·        Business development in a part time capacity. ·        Duties may be increased as experience and skill allow  Qualifications:   Bachelor’s degree in electrical or equivalent Minimum of 12 years Building or Data Center Commissioning experience. Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA 70E safety requirements. Good written and spoken communication skills. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and specifications. Knowledge of Data Center design concepts. Knowledge and commissioning experience with Electrical Distribution Switchgear, Substations, Uninterruptable Power Sources (UPS), Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Batteries, Emergency Diesel Generators & Load Banks. Knowledge of power quality analysis. Strong experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Ability to effectively write electrical commissioning scripts, daily reports, and final commissioning reports.
