Data Centre Lead – India

The DCx Commissioning team is responsible for managing the commissioning jobs of data centres for our Clients. Through development of program management, this team is entrusted to manage workflow efficiently across project teams vertically as well as horizontally to ensure the successful delivery of multi-million-dollar data center commissioning jobs. As the Country Vertical Lead of DCx Team, you will be expected to work with Client’s technical as well as CAI’s Global/ Regional Data Center Teams.  You will be responsible for the effective management of CAI India Data Center Team and also you would need to coordinate with the other teams like., Finance and HR of CAI India in order to streamline and improve delivery of data center commissioning projects. You will execute against scope, schedule, and budget to deliver the latest generation of data center technology to the client. You shall be responsible for ensuring that the project is commissioned in accordance with Client’s as well as CAI standards and directly manage the process for projects in the region and support other Commissioning Projects in other Regions.
Business Processes
Reports directly to Country Head India
Primary responsibility for India region commissioning projects with secondary support to other DCx commissioning projects in other regions
Business Development-Develop Client contacts and win projects for achieving 100% productivity of resource strength.
Service Delivery-Create and/or maintain best practices to identify and incorporate quality and cost-effective solutions.
Development & Implementation of Commissioning Procedures and Standards in line with the Global DCx procedures and processes of CAI.
Construction site inspections to review QA/QC and commissioning process.
Drive the project Commissioning process including scope and schedule.
Travel to project sites will be a prerequisite.
Regular reviews of the QA/QC, Commissioning progress, issues, and KPI metrics to report
Attend regular meetings with the Client managers and CAI Team.
Report Project Progress on scope, schedule, and budget weekly or as required.
Good communication skills at all levels
Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, etc
Responsible for developing, managing, and reporting on scope, schedule of the Commissioning Process
Manage the Commissioning process for India region.
Reporting of the Commissioning process to management on a regular basis.
Work independently
Strategy and Development
 Manage data center commissioning project delivery strategy in alignment with Client requirements.
Refines practices/policies and develops methods/techniques for driving solutions including development of commissioning procedures.
Provides input to delivery strategy and incorporates requirements into the project execution plans.
Develop detailed Commissioning Scripts
Issue identification and resolution management
Experience required
20+ years of experience in Data Center facility maintenance and commissioning
Degree/Diploma required – BE or BTech
Knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Test Equipment
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
