We are seeking a newly qualified Accountant to join our fast growing Italian office based in Florence. This would be an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant that wishes to move and progress within industry.
The specific responsibilities of the is position include:
·       Month end closing and preparation of management accounts
·       General ledger entries and data entries
·       Completion of accounts receivable and accounts payable procedures
·       Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
·       Preparation and filing of VAT returns
·       Liaise with external auditors and advisors in relation to all reporting requirements
. Preparation of periodic and annual tax returns for legal persons
. Preparation of IV Directive financial statements, with related documents;
. Compilation and printing of VAT registers with related payments;
. 770 simplified forms for withholding taxes on self-employment income, 730, Unico PF, Unico SC, Unico SP;
. Electronic submissions Entratel (tax returns) and Infocamere (filing of changes, company financial statements, business register practices in general);
. Other accounting and tax requirements required by the job.
·       Providing general accounting assistance including reviewing and analysing detailed financial information
·       Complete process and procedures in line with group accounting polices
·       Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
·       A professional accountancy qualification or near completion is preferred
·       3 to 5 years work experience in a finance position
·       Fluent in English and Italian
·       Proficient in Microsoft Office including advanced Excel
·       Knowledge of Sage Intacct would be advantageous
·       Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills
·       High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability
·       Attention to detail
·       Ability to build relationships with internal departments
·       Can work as part of a global team
